Andy - Lead & Slide Guitar, Vocals I was born July 24, 1970 in Gary, Indiana and currently live in Valparaiso, IN. I started playing guitar at the age of thirteen. At fourteen, I began lessons with my two best friends/cousins Jason and Jeremy. Shortly after, we played our first gig with our friend Nick T. at a picnic shelter in Black Oak, IN. Since that time, I’ve been a part of Northwest Indiana’s music scene playing with many bands including Pazzanger and Sweet Revenge. Mostly, I’m identified as the guitar player for Mr. Funnyman (a band I’ve played with since the early 90`s along with Jason, Jeremy, Rob and drummer Mike P). Although I am known as an electric guitarist, I also play acoustic, lap steel and mandolin guitars. My early influences include David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Recent influences of Trey Anastasio and Jerry Garcia. My love for Pink Floyd music started in my teens while hanging out with our band. As an adult, I find the melodic tones and dynamics of the music too much to resist. I simply must play it. It’s a double bonus that these guys are the best players I’ve had the pleasure to play with and they’re my best friends. As far as gear, I like to keep it simple. I play Paul Read Smith and Gibson guitars, Marrell lap steel, Line 6 fx, and Marshall amps.
