Around 1987 to 1988 during the hair metal days, I remember thinking that the drummers in those bands looked so cool with all their drums and cymbals.  This is where my desire to play drums began.  After a lot of pleading and begging, I convinced my father to buy me a drum set for my thirteenth birthday.  My parents must have had the patience of saints to put up with me banging away in the other room.  At an early age, my brother instilled in me the love of classic rock music, especially Pink Floyd.  I remember learning to play Credence Clearwater Revival’s “Chronicals” and Tom Petty’s greatest hits.  I’ve been playing drums for eighteen years and love it.  There’s nothing like sitting behind the drums and laying down the right groove while the audience and your band mates are digging it.  I’ve performed with numerous cover/original bands and have played drums in opening acts for Great White and Foreigner.  My drumming influences are Nick Mason, John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, John Denzmore and Keith Moon.  As the newest member of Echoes of Pompeii, I’m excited about bringing the timeless music of Pink Floyd to life.  I play DW drums, Zildjian and Paiste cymbals.
